Saint Tropez enjoys a prime location on the Golf of Saint Tropez and is surrounded by some of the most beautiful countryside in France.
Here, white sandy beaches give way to sweet-smelling pine forests and gently sloping terraces on which rows of olive trees grow under a sun which shines more than 300 days a year.
If that’s not enough to entice you to Saint Tropez, perhaps you will be seduced by the wide range of outdoor activities on offer within a short drive from almost every villa for sale in St Tropez. There are clubs galore offering first-class tuition in every possible sport including sailing, windsurfing, golfing, horse-riding and tennis.
The highly-sought after area also boasts is own polo club, which is certainly considered an extra bonus for many of our clients contemplating real estate in St Tropez.
The Polo Club Saint Tropez is located in Gassin, some four kilometres from the coast, and within a ten minute drive from most of our villas for sale in St Tropez.
Founded in 1998 the club sits on 16 hectares of perfectly tendered grounds on which there is also an elegant clubhouse and first-class restaurant, La Table du Polo, which is open to non-members.
The club can provide stabling for more than 300 horses during tournaments, of which there are as many as ten throughout the season, which runs from April to October.
The Polo Club Saint-Tropez also boasts its own helicopter landing pad, although if you snap up some prime real estate in St Tropez this is an amenity you will not be needing.
For those new to polo, the game consists of 75 minute periods, or chukkers, with a five minute break in between to change ponies. Teams of four battle across the 275 by 138-metre field with only one objective, to score.
The club, which is widely considered as one of the best polo clubs in Europe, also offers lessons to beginners who would like to learn the sport at its Polo School.
