Saint Tropez is a special place to visit at any time of year. But like the French capital, there is something dazzling about Saint Tropez in the spring-time.
With temperatures regularly nudging into the mid teens in February and barely a cloud in sight, spring is an ideal time for those looking for a spot of R&R to rent a villa Saint Tropez.
The crowds are yet to materialise, but there is still enough going on to tempt you out from the sun-drenched terrace in your villa Saint Tropez.
For a look at what not to miss when you rent a villa Saint Tropez this spring, see our guide below:
FEBRUARY:
It’s a bit of a journey from your villa Saint Tropez but the Nice Carnival, one of the world’s biggest street parties, is definitely worth the trip. This year the carnival – titled King of Sport in celebration of the London 2012 Olympics in July – will take place from 17th February to 4th March.
Again, another little drive in the car or by train, but visitors who rent a villa Saint Tropez this spring should not miss the Fete du Citron – a hugely colourful event which is held in Menton from 17th February to 7th March. Last year more than 230,000 visitors flocked to the town, on the border with Italy, to see the floats covered in citrus fruits.
MARCH:
Throughout the month of March in cinemas across Saint Tropez visitors can benefit from exceptional prices during the Printemps du Cinéma spring film festival. The event, organised by the National Federation of Cinema, offers a chance to see any screening at any cinema for only €3.50.
APRIL:
Another great event taking place in Saint Tropez this spring is the annual Printemps Musical, a wonderful, two-day celebration of classical music. Concerts take place at the Salle Jean Despas, on the tree-shaded Place des Lices, and programmes tend to concentrate on string and piano music
